Instructions for Authors

Scope and Mission

Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (jghs) publishes high-quality articles across a wide range of topics including Psychiatry, Psychology, Mental Health, Cognitive Science, Behavioral Health, Anxiety, Depression. The journal seeks submissions that are scientifically sound and contribute meaningfully to the field.

Submission Process

Manuscripts may be submitted either through the online portal or directly via email to the editorial office at editor@globalmeetx.net. Once received, a manuscript ID will be provided to the corresponding author within three business days.

Important: Authors bear full responsibility for the integrity of their work, including originality and the absence of plagiarism. The journal adheres strictly to publication ethics and reserves the right to retract or correct articles in the event of misconduct.

Compliance with NIH Public Access Policy

The journal facilitates public access by submitting NIH-funded research articles to PubMed and PubMed Central immediately following publication. This also applies to UK and EU-funded biomedical research.


Editorial and Peer Review Policy

Submissions undergo a thorough editorial process, supporting the publication of original research, reviews, commentaries, and case-based studies. Authors are encouraged to include relevant visuals such as tables and figures.


Publication Fees

The journal operates independently, with operational costs covered by article processing charges (APCs). There is no fee for submitting a manuscript; charges apply only after acceptance.

  • Original Articles: Present new data from primary research
  • Reviews: In-depth overviews written by subject experts
  • Case Reports: Descriptions of unique or instructive clinical scenarios

  • Methodology Articles: Introduce or refine research methods
  • Letters to the Editor: May provide analysis, critique, or supplemental discussion of published work

Submission Guidelines

Required Files:

  • Title Page (DOC): Include title, full author names, affiliations, and contact details
  • Manuscript (DOC): Include tables at the end (if under two pages each)
  • Figures: Submit separately as JPG, PNG, PPT, DOC/DOCX (300 dpi minimum)
  • Cover Letter (DOC): Explain the manuscript's significance and declare conflicts of interest

Additional Reviewer Suggestions: Provide names and emails for two potential peer reviewers with no recent collaborations or institutional ties to the authors.


Disclosures & Acknowledgments

  • Acknowledgments: List all non-author contributions; consent must be obtained for inclusion
  • Funding Sources: Clearly identify all financial support with complete agency names
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts, or explicitly state "None to report"

Figures and Tables

  • Tables: Numbered sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), formatted using Word's Table function, and listed at the document's end
  • Figures: Should be submitted separately; captions must be included in the manuscript (not the image file)
  • Supplementary Files: May include additional data, images, or tables in a single PDF

References

  • Use NLM style, with numbered in-text citations [1], [2], etc.
  • List all authors up to six; after that, use "et al."
  • Include only published or in-press materials

Formatting Requirements

  • Language: English only
  • Layout: Double-spacing, justified margins, one-column format
  • Word Count:
    • Original/Methodology/Review: No limit (concise preferred)
    • Commentaries/Case Reports: 800-1500 words
    • Letters: 1000-3000 words

Initial Review & Revisions

Each manuscript is reviewed by editorial staff before external peer review. About 70% will proceed to peer review. Authors will be notified of revisions, which must be resubmitted within two months.

Revisions should include tracked changes and detailed responses to each reviewer comment.


Proofing & Publication

Proofs are sent via email in PDF format. No further changes can be made once proofing is complete. Hard copies are available upon request.
